CELEBRATION OF LIFE

My grandmother who passed away a day before her 94th birthday was such a special person in my life.  I lived by her until I moved to California 10 years ago.  She would come to visit us over the past 10 years or we would go back to my hometown of Albuquerque, where she lived (quite often).  She lived a wonderful life that we wanted to celebrate.  So this June we traveled to New Mexico to celebrate her life with my large extended family.  It was a great weekend of reminiscing, but one thing I was able to do was bring cookies (of course) with old family pictures on them of her, my mom, aunts and uncles as children.  I had the edible images made by A Custom Cookie and they came out great!  My grandma also had unique penmanship, that I was able to duplicate on each cookie, so not only did the cookies have a black and white picture, but her writing of where the picture was taken and the year.  I absolutely loved making them thought it brought a unique touch to this special day.
